Synchronizing Files on Demand

There are two ways to synchronize files on demand for Novell® iFolder® when you are logged in:

Whenever you select these options, iFolder immediately synchronizes the files in your local iFolder directory with your files on the iFolder server, uploading and downloading any changes that have been made.

If you are logged out, you can also log in to begin immediate synchronization.

IMPORTANT: For synchronization to work properly, your Web browser must be set to work online.

If your Web browser is set to "Work Offline," Microsoft* Windows* disconnects your Internet connection. The iFolder client detects that there is no longer a connection. Any synchronization in progress fails immediately. The iFolder client dims the iFolder icon in your system tray and prints a line in your client log stating that the synchronization failed and that the connection with the server is broken. To resume the connection, you must reset your Web browser to work online, then log in to the iFolder client.
